A quieter you
Inner Peace
A more beautiful tomorrow begins with one small ritual, folded by hand.
2016
The philosophy
Rituals for a calmer,
brighter you.
We believe the objects around us should ask for less. Aurel began with a single question: what if the things you touch each day were folded rather than moulded — soft at the edges, honest about their seams, and made to be kept for years instead of seasons?
Every piece starts as a flat sheet of cotton paper and ends, four weeks later, in your hands. Nothing is glued that could be folded. Nothing is printed that could be written.

01
Four weeks, no shortcuts
Each piece is creased, dried and re-creased by a single maker. Batch size never exceeds forty.
-
02
Paper, fibre and light
We work in kozo, a fibre paper that breathes, ages honestly and takes light like no other.
-
03
Made to be repaired
Every crease can be re-folded. Send a piece back and we will restore it, free, for as long as you own it.

Objects that
hold a room
Six pieces from the current season. Each is made by hand, signed underneath, and shipped in a recycled paper box.

The craft
Four weeks,
twelve folds
The process is deliberately slow. A sheet is soaked, pressed and dried flat, then folded against a bone folder — the same tool used by bookbinders for four hundred years.
-
Soak & press
Kozo pulp is laid by hand and pressed for three days, so the fibre takes a fold without cracking.
-
Fold & dry
Twelve creases are set with a bone folder, then the piece rests in the dark for a further ten days.
-
Trim & sign
Edges are trimmed with a single blade and the maker's mark is pressed into the underside.
-
Wrap & send
Wrapped in recycled kozo and posted from the studio.
